Catfield Primary Forest School

Yesterday, Tigers and Cubs had a very cold Forest school session. I set up and lit a fire which helped them to warm up. Many of them enjoyed sitting around the logs and watching the fire. The children were then able to toast marshmallows on the fire and enjoy eating them, Yummy! Miss Cushion :)

Yesterday Panthers enjoyed a forest school session with a twist. Due to the bitterly cold and wet weather we decided to do our session indoors. We had fun gathering some natural resources from our outdoor area and brought them inside to make Christmas crafts. We had wreaths, crowns, sleighs and many more exciting crafts made in this session. Even the weather wont stop us from having fun in forest school! Miss Cushion :)

On Friday Tigers, Cubs and Lions joined together to have an extra forest school session. It was lovely to see all of the children mixing together and playing wonderfully. It is safe to say there was a lot of mud involved, but we love it! We love jumping in muddy puddles!  Splish! Splash!  Lots of preparation happening in the mud kitchen!  Dig, dig, digging! "Strawberry soup coming right up!"  Look at my magic wand!  Rahhhhh! What a beautiful & creative wand!
